About the Music

There's nothing quite like live music to enhance the beauty of your memorable event.

You can bring the elegance and sophistication of Lori Carsillo's classic jazz sound to your own wedding or party.

Many musical options are available for your wedding or party that can fit your budget. From a trio of vocals, guitar and bass to a larger band with a horn section, Lori Carsillo is available to discuss your particular needs and put together an evening of music that will fulfill your vision.

Reception

The duo - vocals & guitar

The duo is a lovely, intimate way to entertain your guests especially when space is an issue. The duo is quieter than the other band combinations below and makes for a great way to include live music while ensuring your guests will be able to socialize.

The trio - vocals, guitar & bass

The trio is perfect for a smaller, more intimate wedding and a good choice if you're not expecting the guests to do a lot of dancing. However, dancing is certainly possible with the trio. The trio works very well as a background to dining and socializing.

The quartet - vocals, guitar, bass & drums

The quartet is a great choice for any size wedding in which you definitely want your guests to dance. The drums help add a back-beat to the music, which is easier and more fun to dance to. During cocktails & dinner, the music played will be softer with quieter drums, so as to make talking easier among your guests. After dinner, when guests usually want to get up and dance, the drums will add a dimension that provides a festive energy to the atmosphere.

The quintet - vocals, guitar, bass, drums & saxophone
(or vibraphone or other horn)

The quintet adds a richer element to the music and gives a bigger feel to the band overall. It's a nice touch that gives the band a classic sound.

- Piano can be used instead of guitar in these scenarios, depending on your preference & venue piano availability -

Ceremony

Ceremony music - either with or without vocals - is also available.

Some couples have one special song that they want sung during the ceremony and then want the rest of the music as instrumental only. Others opt for a solo guitar or piano for the whole ceremony, which is always beautiful and elegant. There are many options - please contact Lori to discuss your vision for the music!
